2025 SSコレクション「The Natural Explorer 日常を探検に変える」。それは「帽子というツールを通じて、日常の中で見過ごしてしまう美質を五感を通じて見直すこと」だと木島は考える。例えば、いつもと違う道を選び、一駅手前で降りて遠回りしてみる。普段は通り過ぎるだけだった近所のカフェに足を向けてみる。そんなちょっとした変化が、見過ごしていた日常の美しさを再発見できるのかもしれない。

後編では、さらに日常と非日常の境界にある時間を探る旅へ。東京とバンコクと二都市を往来し活動する写真家domが切り取ったビジュアルイメージとともに、今季のコレクションの魅力を紐解いていく。

 

The 2025 SS Collection “The Natural Explorer: Everyday Adventures.” Kijima believes it’s about “using hats as a tool to rediscover qualities in daily life that we often overlook through our senses.” For example, choosing a different route, getting off one station early to take a detour, or stopping at a neighborhood café you usually just walk past. These small changes might help us rediscover beauty in our everyday lives.

In Part 2, we continue our journey exploring the boundary between ordinary and extraordinary moments. With visual images captured by photographer dom, who works between Tokyo and Bangkok, we’ll explore what makes this season’s collection special.

日常の中で私たちはどれだけ周囲に気を留めているだろう。忙しさに追われ、スマートフォンの画面に視線を奪われ、多くの美しい瞬間を見過ごしてはいないだろうか。木島が今回提案する帽子たちは、そんな日常に小さな変化をもたらすきっかけになればという思いから生まれている。

ある日、普段通り過ぎる街角で見知らぬ風景に出会ったとき、それは単なる偶然ではなく、視点が変わったからかもしれない。「The Natural Explorer 日常を探検に変える」は、小さな変化から始まる日々の再発見。それを一緒に楽しむパートナーのような存在であることが、このコレクションの願いだ。

 

This collection offers a different approach to living. It invites us to slow down, observe more carefully, and find wonder in familiar things. Through each carefully crafted hat, it encourages us to see the world differently.

“We create hats that support people’s explorations and challenges. We design them to reflect the wearer’s life at that moment,” says director Kaji. Truly, noticing everyday beauty or turning life into an adventure is something we must do ourselves—the hats simply support us on that journey.

One day, when you notice something new on a street you pass every day, it might not be coincidence but a change in how you see. “The Natural Explorer: Everyday Adventures” is about daily rediscovery starting with small changes. This collection aims to be a partner that enjoys these moments of discovery with you.
